Beat me

Stichting ItsME campaigns for the cure of meningitis and encephalitis. This, of course, cannot be achieved without the help of donors, sponsors, volunteers, and ambassadors. Everyone who supports the foundation deserves a big round of applause. This applies to both individuals and companies, naturally. If you are a company looking for a good alternative to the annual Christmas cards, for example, then consider ItsME. The money received will be purposefully deployed based on the advice of the Scientific Advisory Board. We would be delighted if you would support us. Thank you in advance.

“The power of WE is stronger than the power of ME.

    9. Stichting ItsME, and all involved parties and volunteers of the organisation, shall never be liable for any accidents, injuries, illnesses, deaths, damages, loss or theft of money and/or goods that may occur before, during, or after, or as a consequence of, Walk with ME.

    10. Sponsors of the event and the municipality/municipalities in which Walk with ME takes place are, on the same footing as the Organisation, excluded from all liability.

    11. The Organisation reserves the right to change the route, start and/or finish times and/or locations, or to cancel Walk With ME in whole or in part due to extreme weather conditions or other emergencies, solely at the discretion of the Organisation. In such cases, there is no entitlement to a refund of the registration fee, nor to compensation for incurred costs and (im)material damages.

    Privacy

    13. By registering, the participant grants unconditional consent to the Organiser and its partners to publish photographs and visual material, and similar, taken during or around Walk with ME, on which the participant is visible, without any right to claim remuneration, taking into account the privacy policy applied by the Organiser for this purpose.

    14. By registering, the Participant grants unconditional consent to the Organiser and its partners to disclose their participation in Walk With ME.

    15. The personal data provided by the Participant will be included in a file by the Organisation. By entering into the agreement, the Participant grants the Organisation permission to use the personal data for sending information to the Participant.

    Slotbepalingen

    16. If one or more articles of these regulations are declared invalid or unlawful for any reason whatsoever, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these regulations.

    17. Dutch law applies to these regulations. The competent court in the district of Oost-Brabant is authorised to hear disputes.

Tips from ItsME to make your fundraiser a success

With these tips, you can raise more donations:
Tip 1. Create a personal fundraising page

Tell your story, share photos, and explain why you started this fundraiser. People mainly support because they know you and want to help.

Tip 2. First a few donations, then publicity

Ask family and friends to donate first. A good example is contagious.

Tip 3. Add the link to your email signature

That way, everyone you email automatically sees your fundraiser.

Tip 4. Talk about it and let people donate straight away

At work, school, your club, or during parties: talk enthusiastically about your fundraiser and ask people to donate directly via their smartphone. Share the hyperlink to your fundraiser.

Tip 5. Blog and share on social media

Share your fundraiser’s progress, post updates, and repeat your message.

    Examples:

    • Share your preparations for a sports event and tag friends involved
    • Thank donors publicly, as this motivates others to join in too
Tip 6. Start a final sprint

The last two weeks often bring in the most donations. Ask your supporters to help you reach your target amount during that final stretch.

    Tip 7. Involve companies

Approach your employer, clients, or suppliers for sponsorship. Thank them in a blog or place their logo on your fundraising page.

    Tip 8. Keep reminding people

Not everyone donates immediately. Send friendly reminders by email or WhatsApp. Persistence pays off.
