This Privacy Statement applies to the processing of personal data (hereinafter: Personal Data) provided by sponsors, donors, gift givers, volunteers, campaign initiators, participants, and relations, as well as data obtained from visits to and use of the website. www.itsme-foundation.com.

Stichting ItsME owns this website and the data obtained through it. ItsME determines the purpose for which the data are processed. Pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), ItsME is the ‘Data Controller’. This website has been created with WordPress Charitable (www.wpcharitable.comWPCharitable is a ‘Processor’ under the GDPR. WPCharitable is required to implement adequate technical and organisational measures to protect your Personal Data.

Purpose of processing your Personal Data

Through the website, ItsME processes (personal) data for the following purposes:

• Creating and managing an action page and establishing and executing sponsorship, gift, donation or crowdfunding
  ItsME collects data such as name, email address and bank details, data relating to transactions, donations, participation details, or data that is relevant if you contact ItsME or financially contribute to ItsME's objectives as a sponsor, donor, collector, fundraiser, or participant in campaigns or events.
• Informing about activities
  ItsME keeps sponsors, donors, contributors, campaign initiators, participants, volunteers, ‘friends’ and other interested parties informed of its activities via email. ItsME will always ask for your permission beforehand to process your personal data. ItsME may also ask for (financial) support in its emailings.
• Optimising the website and email
  In order to optimise the content of ItsME's emails, open and click rates of emails can be viewed and recorded on an individual level. ItsME does this to keep its messaging as interesting as possible for recipients. Cookies are also placed on the ItsME website to optimise the website and to provide tailored content.
• Improving service provision
  ItsME uses the email addresses of donors, sponsors, campaign starters, event participants and relations in certain cases for research to improve its services.
• Social media advertising opportunities
  To display targeted posts or advertisements, ItsME can make use of the capabilities offered by social media platforms for advertising, such as Facebook audiences. Via the privacy settings of the social media channel, such as Facebook for example, you can opt out of advertisements or change your preferences.

Handling of your Personal Data

ItsME collects (and thereby processes) personal data on this website. When you register to participate in an event, or start, sponsor, become a donor of, or make a gift to an initiative, ItsME may ask you for personal data. ItsME also does this if you register to receive an (e-mail) newsletter, request information, inquire about activities, ask a question, or respond on the website. Sometimes personal data is validated by ItsME or combined with information from external sources. This is how ItsME keeps its database up-to-date.

If it transpires that a person leaving personal data on the ItsME website, on whatever grounds, is under the age of 16, ItsME shall, within the technical means available to it, verify whether this data has been provided with the consent of a parent or guardian. If such consent is lacking, ItsME shall not proceed with the processing of the personal data.

Security of your personal data

For the protection of your personal data, ItsME has implemented appropriate physical, technical, and organisational measures. via its processor WPCharitable, ItsME uses a secure server which is exclusively accessible to authorised personnel.

Retention period of your Personal Data

We do not retain your data for longer than is necessary to achieve the purposes stated in this Privacy Statement.

Payment

For the execution and processing of sponsorships, support payments, gifts, donations and crowdfunding, ItsME uses Mollie, via its processor WPCharitable.www.mollie.comMollie processes the payment between the donation platform and your bank or credit card provider. Mollie will therefore have access to your payment details.

Your data for action starters, participants and project leaders

If you make a donation, provide a sponsorship contribution or participate in a crowdfunding campaign, the initiator/participant you are sponsoring, or the project leader of the crowdfunding campaign for which you have made the donation, will respectively gain access to your contact details and your donation. Your details will then be used exclusively for the purpose of informing the initiator, participant or project leader, sending a thank you, or keeping them informed of a campaign or action. Your details will not be made available to third parties. You can object to this processing of your data with ItsME. The provisions apply in full to this processing of your personal data.

Your Rights

ItsME and its appointed processors respect your rights under the GDPR. You can always obtain access to your data processed by ItsME free of charge and, if desired, adjust or have this data deleted. To obtain this overview, adjust or delete the data, you can contact us via info@itsme-foundation.com. You can also object to receiving targeted information about services that ItsME sends you via e-mail, WhatsApp/SMS, telephone or post by using this e-mail address. If you have any other questions regarding the processing of your personal data, you can also report them via the aforementioned e-mail address.

In the event that you request ItsME to erase your data from its database, ItsME will respond in a proportional manner. In some cases, the request to erase your data cannot be fully complied with. For example, because the Tax Authorities require agreements to be kept for 7 years. Even if you request not to be contacted by ItsME for marketing purposes, ItsME will have to remember your name in order to exclude you from future campaigns. If your request to erase your data cannot be granted, or cannot be fully granted, ItsME will inform you of the reason for this.

Data Protection Authority

ItsME is happy to help if you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data by ItsME. Under privacy legislation, you have the right to submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) regarding the processing of your personal data by ItsME. You can contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority for this (see for more information: www.dataprotectionauthority.nl).

Language

This Privacy Statement has been drafted in the Dutch language and translated into the English language. In the event of any discrepancy between the English language version and the Dutch version, the Dutch version of this Privacy Statement shall prevail. All terms used in this Privacy Statement shall be interpreted as Dutch legal terms and in accordance with the GDPR.
