The Day of Connection and Remembrance 2026

It's wonderful that you're here! We hope this day becomes a place of recognition, support, and connection for you.

We also know that the loss of a loved one brings a great deal of emotion with it, and that these emotions can differ from day to day. Therefore, we want to tell you: even if you sign up now, we will completely understand if you ultimately decide that it’s not suitable for you to come after all. You can always listen to your own feelings in this regard.

Our aim is to create a safe and warm space where there is room for recognition, support and sharing experiences – however small or large the group may be.

This meeting will take place on Saturday 24 January 2026, on the same day and at the same venue as the Allies Day (for people and their loved ones affected by meningitis and encephalitis). Both groups will have their own programme and timeline, ensuring you have the space, attention and understanding for your needs.

We are welcomed at the beautiful Ernst Sillem Hoeve location in Den Dolder, centrally located in the Netherlands.

For those arriving by public transport, there is the option to use a shuttle bus from Den Dolder station to the Hoeve. PLEASE NOTE: registration is required.

As part of the day takes place in smaller groups, we feel it's important to know who is coming. This way, we can get to know you better and place you in a group where you will find as much recognition as possible.

That's where the power of the day lies: recognition in the stories that are shared, sharing the questions you encounter (daily or regularly), and the challenges you've faced along the way and perhaps still will face.

For this day, we ask for a registration fee of €25 per person. This includes coffee, tea, a treat, lunch, and a drink afterwards. At the end of this questionnaire, you can pay via iDEAL. Your registration is final once payment is completed.

We aim to organise this day in a cost-neutral manner. If you would also like to support our work, you are welcome to make a voluntary donation. Every contribution – big or small – helps us to facilitate important research and raise awareness.
