This is Annelotte...

A 24-year-old, spontaneous, cheerful, compassionate, and highly creative young woman. At 19, she left Zwolle for Amsterdam to set up her own company. Together with Jessie Jazz, she set up the platform “She Flore”, before continuing on her own with her company ‘21 the agency’. A company primarily for TikTok content.

Annelotte was a people person. She
was always there for others and
helped where she could. Asked people who were taking a selfie if they could briefly
The photo would take. Asked homeless people if she could buy them something too. And when she had just moved to Amsterdam, she drank coffee with lonely elderly people. Her small business grew well. Life seemed to smile on her. Until... meningitis came into her life.

On 6 August 2023, the GP didn't have time and the doctor's assistant diagnosed ‘sinusitis’. On 9 August, she was taken to hospital with sirens blaring and in a comatose state. During the night, she had her first operation on her skull and 6 hours later, a second on the other side of her head. But it was all in vain. On 15 August 2023, we had to let her go with love... Annelotte, forever 24 years old.

Recognising meningitis in good time is very important. The sooner the diagnosis, the faster action can be taken, and the less chance there is of permanent damage or death. The ‘it's ME-foundation’ is committed to raising awareness about meningitis, both among the public and medical professionals. They also critically support scientific research to enable early detection and better treatment.

The society is donating a portion of the proceeds from this auction to the ‘it's ME Foundation’.
