What is the event?
The Mindfuck Show is a unique event that offers a combination of illusion, psychology, and entertainment, but also has a deeper purpose for the It's ME Foundation. The event aims to challenge the audience to reflect on the power and vulnerability of their own thoughts. Through optical illusions, mental experiments, and unexpected twists, we want to deceive the visitors' brains. The show consists of several parts, in which optical illusions, tricks, and psychological principles are used to test the audience's senses. Visitors will not only be amazed by what they see, but also by how easily their thoughts can deceive them.

Why this event?
Our HKW question was: ‘How can we increase knowledge about meningitis, so that more people will donate to Stichting It's ME?’ Our answer to this is to combine knowledge and entertainment, and to keep it interesting and informative for the visitor. More importantly, we want to give visitors a unique experience with our event, through illusion, psychology, and mental experiments that increase awareness of neurological conditions. The show demonstrates how our brains can deceive us and prompts the visitor to reflect on how their brains work. It therefore aligns well with Stichting It's ME's mission to raise visitor awareness and also encourage donations, not only through ticket sales but also through post-show donations for research into meningitis.
