Our team is taking on the challenge of walking 50 kilometres to raise money for research into meningitis. It's an illness that often strikes suddenly and has a huge impact on the lives of the affected family and those around them.
From close up, we have seen what this illness can do. In our case, fortunately, there was a good outcome, but we know that this is sadly not a given. All too often, the consequences are devastating and sometimes even irreversible.
That's why we walk. For more research, better treatments and hopefully more positive outcomes in the future.
